The first 5 times i saw this movie in the cinemas, i thought to myself that i was definatley getting this on bluray... Its even better!
Especially with the alternate ending, the attention to detail being so excrucitatingly accurateand it being at this price! There is absolutley no reason to not own this bluray movie, unless ofcourse you didnt like the film but thats your opinion lol!

In the title if ya read it...
Then plot is good but gets wierd wen he talks to himself.... Or frank 'the model' lol funny for some bits.

As the prequel has been announced for I Am Legend I decided to revisit the movie as I thought it was alright first time around.
My opinion hasnt changed, the first 2 thirds of the movie are intelligent and tense but then the director just decides to abandon the careful tone he has been creating in favour of all out action that just jars with the tone of what came before.
I like many agree that the alternative ending is actually better than the theatrical one and while it may be deemed a more Hollywood ending its more in keeping with the book as the fact is its Will Smiths character that is doing wrong torturing the next stage of man due to the virus and not the 'vampires'.
The Blu Ray itself has a solid transfer and good audio but as this version is almost barebones and it has been announced it is to be replaced soon with a 2 disc special edition you are better off holding out for that version.
