I agree with all the positive comments about the tv it is excellent, but i have the same problem as 'ianwwe'!! the sensor on the tv only works when I am a foot away from it! I've tested the remote on another sony tv (same model) and it works perfectly so its not a problem with the remote. I am wondering what 'ianwwe' has done about it? appart from calling up sony anyone got any quick fix solutions???

Just got this tv today, works perfectly, brilliant picture and so on. Very easy to set up, non HD sources look excellent as do HD sources.
In referance to Ianwwe - my remote works perfectly from whereever i'm standing, i guess yours must be faulty.
sensor doesnt work!

i have to be about 1 foot away from it for the remote to work! must be faulty, anyone else had problems?
