I had heard alot about World of Warcraft and it's alleged power to suck away Social Life. This kept me off the game for a while, and the price. Now that i'm getting older and have a regular intake of quite alot of money I thought what the hell, the only MMORPG i've played before WoW (Abbreviation for World of Warcraft) Was Runescape, and hell I loved that back when I was 12 or so. I didnt even bother with WoW's 10 day trial and bought it for a great price of Play, after a heafty installation period that involves (at present day) 15+ hours of patch installing, which has to be understood due to the size of the game, I jumped straight in with my Character with my month free, and this is what I thought.
Straight off i've shrugged off all the people that class this as a social life destroyer, obviously the kid's that have their life sucked away are complete moron's who allow themselves to be absorbed and surely have no knowledge of social life at all. I have played to date, a total… more »

I have played to date, a total of: 1 Day and 2 Hours, and im not obssessed.
With that aside, WoW is massive, possibly scaring a few newcomers at first with its size and span, but once player's obtain the juice of things the game really get's going. The Player can select a total of 8 Races, with more added with the expansion, There is also a set number of talent's that each character can choose. After this the character must level up to gain the respect of the player's around him, this includes massive raid's with other player's, questing, and exploring WoW's vast mountain's, underground regions and jungles.
The story is set in the vast Warcraft universe, but dosent require any set knowledge of these game's to understand. A quick read of Warcraft's history on Blizzard's official site enables players to easily understand this game. The story is quite different for each race, as each have their starting zone and numerous story inclined quests.
Another strong feature of WoW is the combat features, having players select a large number of special attacks and normal attacks, also items such as healing material. With a simple click of the mouse button on a task bar like menu at the bottom of the screen. A strong feature in WoW is it's PvP as it is based around the Horde vs Alliance struggle featured in other games, this enables players to obtain a true war spirit whilst engaging in features such as 5 v 5 arena battles, and massive battleground battles.
Overall WoW, in my opinion, is the best looking MMORPG out there and is the biggest without a doubt, the prices are easily managable and the gameworld never stop's evolving, if you are mature enough not the become obssessed with a computer game. Then this game is one of the best you'll ever play.
