LEGO Batman brings the one-and-only Caped Crusader to life in a completely original storyline. Better than Indy, not quite up to Star Wars

After the slight disappointment of Indy this is a welcome return to form for the Lego series. The new elements, including being able to play for the baddies in Arkham asylum, plus much more use of the right button for character special abilities, make the game more challenging. The levels are generally harder than before, but this is good as gameplay becomes less repetitive.
As always, don't start the FreePlay levels till you've got all the characters, as you'll only need to go back and do them again to get the missing pieces. It's funnier than Indy too, especially with the Joker giving electric handshakes to the good guys, and the Penguin releasing exploding penguins from underneath his hat.
Definitely worth it even if you've played the other franchises.

I have all of the LEGO games and they are all so much fun. The good thing about them is you can only do each level 100% when you have unlocked all the characters as each one has a special ability! some people will say this one is just like the rest but with new characters, well, IT IS and whats wrong with that? if its not broken then dont fix it! the humour is really witty and even though there is no dialogue that just adds to the fun. Cant wait for the next LEGO game, could it be Harry Potter? or Terminator? Back to the future? so many could be LEGO-ised!
