I have been using mine for a few weeks now! I was using an XDA Orbit 2 which is a great phone! I love my Diamond, even though it has some battery issues and can be a bit sluggish on the TouchFlo 3D also no expansion slot but I still love it.

The Screen is amazing, web browsing is fantastic, because the screen is so clear you find you don't have to zoom in as far or not at all sometimes. You can read goggle searches without zooming! when I turn on my Orbit now the screen looks so low resolution its wierd!

The accelorometer also comes in very handy for rotating pages and pictures, there is even a great little game which you use the phone to control a ball.

TouchFlo Looks great, you really don't need to use the stylus at all now, it feel nice sliding along to each tab, the weather tab is cool with animated weather icons and rain that apears on the screen which is then wiped off by a little wiper blade! really nice touch!

It is very fingerprint prone but as long as you put on the provided screen protector there is nothing to worry about, it all wipes clean!

Another cool feature is the light sensor which when the backlight is set to auto, it will automatically dim or brighten depending on the ambient light, hence if its really dark it will dim the backlight so you don't burn your retina's!! and the opposite for bright sunshine!!

The other thing to mention is that the signal strenght doesn't seem to be as good as my Orbit 2, but I haven't had any real issues with that! If you live in a bad area then this could be an issue!

I only give this 4 Stars due to the lack of expandable memory and the fact it only has a 900mah Battery. If these were better it would be 5 Stars from me!!

The HTC Touch Diamond is almost perfect, but not quite.
Pros:
It's seriously pretty and the graphics are awsome
The touch screen works well - but it's no iPhone
Ultra high res screen - incredibly sharp images
The Windows 6.1 works brilliantly - I will never go back
The camera quality is as sharp as my old Sony Ericsson K810i - but there's no flash and the autofocus is very slow
It's slim and light
Big internal memory
Great web browser
Useful stylus makes texting easy (and it's magnetic - cool)
Excellent alert system - a ring of white light flashes when anything has happened - missed call, new SMS, new email etc
Amazing tilt game shows off the phones top accelerometer

Cons:

Battery is weak but will easily last a full day until you can charge it
The screen scratches very easily - you must use a protector (supplied)
No flash on the camera
The music player is a bit fiddly - no 3.5mm jack
The phone goes to sleep during calls which can be annoying if using automated phone services
Quite slow at times, when swapping between applications in particular (but hey, it's a weeny mobile, not a 2 gig PC!)

The Touch does most things far better than the iPhone, except the touch screen and the music player, which cannot compare.

If you don't need a mega camera (like the new SE C905 or the N96) and you are not an iPhone junkie, you won't be disappointed.

If I could've bought an iphone, I would've...but I'm stuck with Orange for certain reasons. To give you an idea what I'm basing my review against I've previously owned a SPV M600 (Windows Mobile) and my last phone was a Nokia N95, my partner also owns the LG viewty which I've used a fair few times.

The phone is the most stylish phone I've owned, it smooth gloss finish stands out and it's also much slimmer and lighter than the N95. I've been playing with it for a few days now and it's very easy to use. Items like the weather are a neat little toy, but it's actually becoming very useful when deciding whether the umbrella is needed in the morning. The web and e-mail are faultless, very easy to use and quick. Texting is a bit different, but mainly due to using the screen instead of buttons. Everything else seems pretty normal, contacts, camera (nothing amazing but still good). My only gripe is the slight lag every now and then, but my N95 did this, the viewty does it....most phones do from time to time, however the diamond does it mainly after taking it out of sleep, but it runs smoothly after a 2 second settling period.

In my opinion the features are top drawer; I can happily live with a slight lag from time to time!

It's an excellent phone, there's no doubting that... but... even though I've only had it 4days - and I've still alot to learn about it, there are some annoying things on it already.
The battery life and the non-expandable memory has been mentioned b4, but little things like it going to 'sleep', and my having to quickly press the power button on top to use it is annoying... why can't it just stay on til we wish to text, phone, use it, whatever? (maybe there's something other than the options in the menu to extend backlight, etc, on the phone that I don't yet know about?!).... and if you hold the phone in your left hand, the volume buttons are sensitive, and keep bleeping when you brush them slightly.

As I say, I'm still learning about it, but it is a fantastic phone.

The Samsung Omnia i900 is due out next month (8gb, 5m/p camera, etc), and I'm going to buy this as well (my Touch Diamond has been 'comendeered' by the mrs!)... but if it doesn't compare to the Touch Diamond, then I'll swap the Samsung for a 2nd Touch Diamond!!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars a nice piece of kit..

bought this after my w910i died again on me and I decided it was time to go high tec. Was a little worried after reading a previous review about the phone working with the orange network, but it seemed fine right out the box with me. Ran the auto network config, restarted and all the phone functions worked fine. As for the rest of the phone I'm quite impressed as to how much they have managed to fit in, so far I've been exploring for around 3hrs and still haven't seen everything. Its quite expensive for a phone, and give it a month or two and it will probably be quite a lot cheaper, but I would say with confidence that its worth it, I mean just look at the design!

This is my first Windows Mobile and I can safely say that I will not be going back to the standard phone format.

Here are the pro's and cons:

Pros: Looks fantastic, small, light, glossy with a beautiful high res
screen.
TouchFlo is great to use and all round presentation is very
swish.
Setting up MMS, Hotmail, MSN Messenger and Internet was
extremely simple.
Good Camera and Video.
Transferring files to the 4GB internal storage CAN be done
via 'drag and drop' despite the comments on the previous
review
Teeter Game - Absolutely brilliant!
Opera Browser - Easy internet viewing

Cons: Battery Life is very poor (if left on but unused you'd be lucky to
get 1 and a half days use!)
Can sometimes lag on menus (needs more memory!)
Expensive!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Very Good but could be Improved!!

I have used Orange M600 Windows Mobile 5 phone for two years. Touch Diamond is compact and much better fit to shirt pockets. VGA resolution is impressive and 3.2M pixels auto-focus camera provides good images for my memo purposes. GSM receiption looks better than M600 - It does pick up radio signal in the trains at Monument and Mansion House London Underground stations, where my M600 hardly did. Its 3G supports roaming in Japan for two major providers, DoCoMo and SoftBank. Supplied software CE-Star provides Japanese/Chinese characters and basic input methods which provides me a fair functionality to read emails in these languages while there seem to be better softwares. 4GB and non-expandable storage has been compared with the rivals but it is enough for me. I wish higher-capacity batteries or external USB chargers available in the market soon. I will try to find a good fingerprints wiper to keep it always beautiful!
