When I heard about The Killers were releasing a B-sides and rarities album I thought they'd gotten a little big for their boots and were trying to flog off their "never-quite-made-it's" in the form of an album. However I'm quite proud to admit that I was wrong and extremely pleased with what Sawdust has to offer. It's the perfect blend of Hot Fuss and Sam's Town.
"Tranquilize" is amazing combining the soft bright voice of Brandon and Lou Reed's monotonous ironic drawl. "All The Pretty Faces" should have been on Sam's Town and "Where The White Boys Dance" should have solely been put on this album. Their cover of Dire Straits' "Romeo and Juliet" is simply the most beautiful song this band have ever produced.
Key Tracks "Tranquilize", "All The Pretty Faces", "Sweet Talk", "Under The Gun", "Move Away", "Romeo And Juliet"
Surprisingly Amazing!!

When i heard that the killers were realising a b-sides album, i was sceptical. The killers are by far my favourite band and hot fuss and sam's town are my favourite albums. I was certain that this album would be dissapointing and not nearly as good as their real albums. But i'm glad to amit that i was wrong. This album, although it was never designed to be so, is (in my opinion) better than both sam's town and hot fuss. It combines the qualities of these two albums that made me love them, and also adds in a completely new side of the killers that ive never heard before, and i like it!!! Sons like 'the ballad of michael valentine', 'sweet talk' and 'change your mind' are some of the best songs the killers have made, and brandon flowers and lou reed sound amazing together in 'tranquilize'. If you are like me how i was and worried about spoiling your view of the killers - do not worry. This will do nothing except make you love the killers even more!!!
Loved it! Different but brilliant

A stunning album that compliments the better known sounds of Hot Fuss and Sam's Town. Its not what I expected but I was blown away by some of the tracks and it's addictive listening. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but a must have for fans of The Killers.
