It had to be better than Riot City Blues, and it certainly is. The cover even looks like a Primal Scream album should do!!Worth buying for ' Can't go back ' alone (a proper 'rocks-like-a-big-funky-bastard' Scream track..) & I was worried that the rest wouldn't be as good,but I shouldn't have cos they really deliver.. Not their best, but what the hell, it'll do to be going on with!Welcome back, You have now been re-instated to Godlike status in this household once more...

For anyone that read my original review based on a pre-release of this album would have noticed a few errors in my description of the songs. I've now finally got my hands on a finished copy of the album and i'm completely elated to hear that it's ten times better than the rough demos i was listening to. Each track has been given a complete reworking with extra beats and vocals and effects and it sounds completely amazing!! I originally gave it 4 stars but i've immediately edited this error and gave it a very much deserved 5 stars! Well done Primal Scream. Knew you wouldn't let us down. Buy this album! It's pop/dance brilliance!

The songs like "glory of love" and the collaberations with lovefoxx of css on "i love to hurt(you love to be hurt" and Josh Homme of QOTSA on "Time Assassins" Just comes to show how varied the album is with its glam influenced out look which can be said for the rest of the album which is an vastly improved effort by the band themselves after the so-so efforts with Riot city blues.
